God is always responsive to our love and devotion

Divine love

The best offerings to God are love and devotion.

Does God really need our “bhog” and “prasada “or other sort of offerings , certainly no , He has created evey little thing on this planet. But he loves the feeling of his devotees with which they make their triffle offerings .God is highly responsive to the love of his devotees.

Let us get the essence of it through a brief parable by Sri Ramakrishna where he explains love and feelings behind the offerings made.

Parable

Once a servant of a landlord came to his master’s house, and stood in a corner right in front of him with humility . He was holding in his hands something that he had covered with the cloth . When the master enquired about it , as to what was he holding in his hands the servant at once showed him a custard apple from beneath the cloth and very humbly gifted that to his master. The master was much pleased to see the loving affection of his servant and accepted it with great delight.

He asked him , “where did you get this from?” The servant replied that it was from his own tree growing near his hut, and that was the first fruit it beared .

The master got delighted hearing that and told him that he will surely relish the fruit with his wife. Servant was very happy and much gratified to see that his master accepted his offering, although he had a huge garden with many trees bearing hundreds of such fruits.

Did master need it?He had plenty of them in his garden

But he accepted because the fruit was not alone or ordinary. It was dipped deeply in the feeling of love and devotion of his servant, so it became precious for him.

Same is with God, He also is pleased to see our love and devotion towards him, and responds .

Believe in your prayers , they are answered .

Always seeking your blessings and wishes💕💕💕

  1. Once the God is recognised within the heart, there is nothing left to be told, If we attached with that One, the One who is with all, When everyone is mine, and I am everyone’s, there ends all duality.

Didi, you have written very beautifully ❤

  2. I have seen people stuffing mouths of idols with sweets in temples. That’s one way of showing love and respect. Offering is symbolic of that respect. A beautiful article 😊
