The “I” in “Me”

I am an ocean of surging thoughts,

But the “me” in me, remained dormant,

I am a handful of dust, full of potential,

But the clay in “me”, lacked the spark,

I am a petal of flower, that blossomed,

But the scent in “me” failed to fragnate ,

I am the princess of the kingdom of my heart

But the me in “me” , failed to win a single heart,

The “I” and “me”, failed to fall in concurrence,

Neither of the two could soar up, with their wings .

  1. What a deeply reflective and poignant poem. The repeated contrast between immense potential and unrealized fulfillment creates a powerful emotional resonance. Lines such as “I am an ocean of surging thoughts, but the ‘me’ in me remained dormant” beautifully capture the inner conflict many people experience between who they are and who they long to become
